Curriculum
As part of the dynamic of our program, accommodations are made for every student based on skill level and experience. A new student can join at any time without any prior experience required due to our specialized teaching methods. We break lessons down into 2 to 4 week projects which may extend to 6 or 8 weeks depending on the needs of the group and project progress. Along with instruction our instructors will give students live demonstrations for them to get a better understanding of different artistic processes. We also alternate the type of project after each completed project session in order to keep classes fresh and interesting for our students. These projects are separated into three main types and consist of the following:

Fundamentals

The building blocks and foundation of all great art starts with the basics. Fundamental projects will include:
- understanding shapes, line work and basic light, shadow and tone
- being able to see artistically and drawing from observation
- working on drawing simple forms and still life from observation
- building skills to draw more complex shapes and representing 3 dimensional objects on 2 dimensional mediums
- eventual inclusion of advanced tone and exploration of colors and light from observation

Creative Projects

As the name implies, these project work to exercise the creative side of art. This section is meant to give students an opportunity to explore new and interesting techniques as well as to find their own unique artistic views and vision. These projects include:
- working with colors and shapes abstractly and expressively
- learning to create balanced art compositions from imagination through experimentation
- utilizing mixed media materials and every day objects to create unique artworks

Fun Spirited Projects

These projects are meant to allow the students to bring what they have learned in fundamental and creative projects and be given freedom to produce their own unique artwork in a more open artistic manner with minimal but precise instruction along the way. The students are given this chance to work on something that interests and motivates them artistically with more freedom to make their own choices on materials and subject matter. A perfect opportunity for them to express their exuberance and creativity. These projects include:
- impromptu artwork created with found objects and materials
- utilizing natural materials outdoors to create small unique temporary installation pieces
- exercising their creativity and basic art skills with fun drawing and painting projects which step away from the more rigid structure of the other projects
